SUMMARY:Sustainable Warehouse Forum
DESCRIPTION:Green Building United of the Lehigh Valley is hosting a kick off event for a series of workshops focused on the sustainable design and construction of warehouses. \n“As a northeast logistics hub\, warehouses are part of Lehigh Valley’s economy. Our community is advocating for more sustainable buildings that will consider the region’s health and the environment. First\, we will take a look at the warehouse development in the region. Then\, we’ll explore opportunities to green these buildings from all aspects of development. From sustainable\, low-carbon materials to solar-ready energy measures and native grasses and pollinator-friendly landscapes. If we’re going to welcome more warehouses\, we have to build them in a way that protects the health of our community\, including the people that work in them.” \nWhen: Friday\, September 23 from 8:30am – 11:30 am \nWhere: Rockwell Integrated Science Center\, Lafayette College\, 730 High Street\, Easton\, PA 18042 \nCost: $15 for GBU Members and Students | $25 for non-members *includes breakfast \nThis event is worth 3 AIA CEU’s.  Please visit here to register for the event.
