Membership Types

Architect
Individuals with an architectural license from a U.S. Licensing authority are eligible for Architect membership (AIA).

Associate
Associate Membership (Assoc. AIA) is open to individuals who meet one of the following criteria: have a professional degree in architecture, work under the supervision of an architect, are enrolled in AXP or equivalent activity, and/or are a faculty member in a university architecture program

New Graduate
Associate New Graduate membership is open to new architecture school grads for free for up to 18 months from the month of graduation.  If you have not earned a NAAB-accredited architecture degree, you could may still be eligible if working under the supervision of an architect.
Allied Member
Allied Membership is open to individual professionals within the architecture industry who are employed outside of architectural practice but are involved in positions related to the field including but not limited to engineers, planners, landscape architects, manufacturing, industry, education, and more.
