    The jurors felt the auditorium addition was a fantastic exercise in applying a modern element to a historic building.  The glass entry creates a point of engagement for informal gathering, as well as additional accessibility to the building.  The attention to detail from the brick match to the landscaping integrates the addition gracefully.

    With the guidance of goals set forth in the design process with stakeholders, the design team delivered a project hitting the triple bottom line.  The jury felt the interior spaces exemplified excellence in Interior Architecture through use of materials, views of nature, and spacious volumes.

    This renovation is a successful example of investing in older buildings and maintaining programmatic spaces for modern use.  The historic character remained in tack with the addition of modern amenities such as HVAC and accessibility.  The quality, texture, and use of the building remains a strong part of the community.
